It's funny how I keep coming back to post messages, even though the show has been dead now for almost one year. While looking through the archives of my server, I stumbled across something very strange. It was labeled thelamentconfig010.wav. Apparently, this is the lost episode of thelament.config that was never uploaded. So, now to decide. Do I delete it out of history? Do I convert to mp3 and upload without editing? Do I want to make it sound nice and then upload it? Who knows.
Welcome Cisco class of 2007. If you're here, you either heard from me or Mr. Butler about this podcast. Enjoy the content of the show.

Just thought I would leave a nice brief message for anyone who listened to the show. I've been producing episodes for Today With A Techie (http://twatech.org) like I said I would. I've been busy with alot of things lately. I was recently got my CCNA certification.
To put it bluntly, if I haven't already said it, thelament.config is dead. It was a nice run for what it was, but it's gone. We've dispersed and never have time to produce more episodes.

ok i guess by asking this question i would be asking you to do a whole show but here goes. i would like to know how to hack someone by just knowing there IP address after getting that what do i do, normally i have to bind trojans which are getting detected by ant-viruses too easily i would like to know step by step what to do after getting the IP address also some more ways of getting peeps IP address wouldnt be bad either and i hack for fun not to destroy lol so you can tell me.
My reply to him was:
First of all, learn something about how computers and networks work before you ask people about general stuff that cannot be done. You can't just get someone's IP and hack them, similar to you can't just go to someone's house if you only know what city they live in and nothing else. Secondly, hacking for fun does not mean sending people trojans. That is hacking for bad. Instead, learn how computers operate and then, you'll be able to put pieces together and come up with your own hacking projects.
This podcast is not here to help people do bad things to other people's computer systems and networks. We strictly want the listener to learn about how our everyday technology works, along with cool tricks to do every now and then. Don't waste your time emailing us about how you want to hack people because you want to be leet. We do not claim leetness at all. If you want, find a cool hacking project, learn about it, or submit it to us and we'll consider doing a show on it.
With that said, we've, of course, been on a hiatus. More than likely, shows will continue to come out whenever we feel like they should. Though we won't be as active, all shows will continue to stay up (as long as bandwidth is not exceeded.) I, now, am also a content producer at T.W.A.T. Radio (http://twatech.org) and still searching for other podcasts to work on.
I broke down last weekend and finally cleaned my computer of all it's nasty things by reinstalling XP. That is why there was no show last week. We will have a new episode out this Friday.
By the way, we got another spike in hits yesterday. Keep them coming.
Face is not here, I've done the honor in upgrading the bandwidth, donate so you can easily get the show, refer to last week's episode on Remote Login if needed, Telnet into a mail server on 25, "Helo" command will verify connection, Use "mail from:" to set the spoofed source, Using "rcpt to:", Typing in your message, E-mail headers will still track an e-mail, Not sure about advanced e-mail options like files, F-Zero - Mute Radiology (OC Remix)

We're reinserting ourselves back into the Matrix. We are coming back soon to produce more shows and shows with more useful content. We will return soon with a new show. Keep checking back!
Currently, we have decided to disband thelament.config. We feel as if it has become a burden upon ourselves to produce the show and also feel as if RL is calling. We thank any listeners that we have had and will leave all previous shows up for others to listen to. If we somehow change our minds and feel we will make a comeback, then we shall. Until next time.
Complete the pattern. Solve the puzzle. Turn the key.
Infernal wishes,

We're having a small delay everyone. The podcast we recorded last week was very quiet and amplifying it only generated alot of noise, so we're waiting to redo it. We're sorry for the wait, but promise it will be worth it.
